Kasey
has been a spiritual student for several years. When she was a teenage,
her exploration of kinesthetics and love of art & philosophy fused together
when she discovered yoga asana and the teachings of Buddha. A light in
her lit up, and she knew she was home.
During her undergrad Bachelor of Fine Arts, Kasey embarked on her first teacher training program, completing over 160 contact hours in Anusara Yoga at Total Body Yoga, in Illinois. She was the founding instructor and catalyst for launching the University of Dayton’s first integrated yoga classes, and after graduating moved to Toronto for additional training in Kundalini & Hatha yoga at the Institute of Yoga Therapy & School of Natural Medicine. She completed her Master of Arts in Teaching at Columbia College Chicago, where she also taught yoga while in school.
Kasey’s style of teaching incorporates the eclectic lineage of yoga she has studied, with an emphasis on breath awareness (pranayama), traditional & creative variations of sun salutations (surya namaskar), and an energetic balance between solar & lunar – both stimulating & soothing the body through a warm-spirited and peaceful practice.
Kasey
currently lives & teaches in La Quinta, CA, and is a practicing artist and
unique childcare provider.
